Twice annually, the Northern Brass Band and the North Winds Quintet host a performance at Trinity! They love performing in our space because of the incredible acoustics in our sanctuary and we love having them.

Fish Fry

Fish Fry 2018 Report

The Trinity Fish Fry was held on May 26, 2018, always the Saturday after the Victoria Day weekend. Approximately 780 dinners were sold. The Bake sale was a success, as usual, and all earnings were contributed directly to the Church. It is difficult to identify all volunteers who had an active role in this event since so many people contributed some part, directly or indirectly to this event through meal purchases, making goodies for the Bake Sale, helping set-up, cook and de-camp outside, and/or kitchen prep, serving take-out dinners and clean-up. Of course, our “welcome” team who greet the guests, collect their money and keep a tally of how much fish is left, are also vital. What is truly amazing is how people work so well together. We also have a diverse team, the majority being our Church members but we have volunteers from Little Current United Church, a couple volunteers from the Catholic Church in Azilda and several Lively community members who help out.

Turkey Dinner

Our annual turkey dinner was held on Saturday, November 10th 2018 . As usual, the event was well attended and the meals were served by our dedicated and hardworking volunteers. To ensure proper food handling Helvi’s catering was hired once again to thaw and cook the turkeys. All other items needed for this large event were generously donated by our church members including funds to purchase the 17 turkeys, 200 pounds of potatoes and other necessary items. We want to sincerely thank all those who shared their time and talent with us to make our turkey dinner such a success.

Sweets and Treats

We will put on our annual Sweets and Treats Auction in early December. This annual fundraiser is a fun and lively event. We serve a delicious luncheon. We always have entertaining auctioneers to keep the afternoon moving well. Members of the congregation donate homemade food items and Christmas décor or gift items and each item is auctioned to the highest bidder.

Spaghetti Dinner

Every year, we host a spaghetti dinner at the church in late February / early March.

We serve a full spaghetti dinner which includes dinner, sides and dessert.

A huge thank you to our incredible volunteers who help make this event possible.

Keep your eyes peeled in early 2020 for our ticketed event on our website!

Soup and Sandwich Luncheon

Here at Trinity, there is no lack of food and fellowship centred events!  The Soup and Sandwich Luncheon is a great example of this! Every year, we serve 2 different soups,

many varieties of sandwiches and tasty desserts. Now, we even deliver to some of the workplaces near our church! What a fantastic time for community gathering and fellowship around a hearty table full of delicious food, always so graciously prepared by our incredible volunteers!

Cookie Plates

Every year in early December, Betty Walton organizes a beautiful cookie plate sale! She wouldn't be able to do it without the selfless bakers and volunteers! Keep you eyes peeled to our "Upcoming Events" calendar for the date of this event! You won't want to miss it!!

Laugh out Loud live theatre was presented in our lower hall the evenings of May 11 & 12. Although this event was Church fundraiser many of those who participated were from the community at large. We had a cast of 34 talented individuals and many helping hands behind the scenes. Everyone that wanted a part was given a part! For most of the actors this was their first time on stage and what a great job they did! The evening featured momentous songs of the past and even old cigarette commercials to remind us how ridiculous they were. We also showcased some of our talented young citizens in song and dance. Thank you once again to all those who participated and attended this event.
